The team here at Iron Apple are working hard to continuously improve your digital food safety solution, enhancing functionality to improve usability and adding new features to save you time!
Here is a list of the newest updates released in February 2016.
Local Scripts
This update will allow the use of code libraries, used within our program to improve functionality, to work more smoothly within your network, playing nice with local firewalls. This update will allow you to make use of the full features available and help make your network administrator’s life a little better!
Error Notifications
More detailed ‘Error’ notifications have been enabled. This update will provide more feedback when receiving an error / feedback from the program. You’ll most likely run into this when updating user login credentials. Now that this framework is in place, we will be building on it from here, providing more details and user-friendly notifications to help guide you through the program. In the future, you will see more more form validation occurring with each new release.
Bullet Editing Scrolling
You will notice visual improvements to the pop-up window when editing bullet assignments. The scrolling function has been updated to remove issues of losing your place due to the large sized window. Now, the program will re-position the window to the previous location once you close the popup window, improving the usability of this area.
Bullet Formatting
To improve the readability of the bullets, assignments now have a small separator between them to clearly identify them as separate.
Supervisor Employee Type
A new user type has been added for ‘Supervisor’. This account is intended to have user access permissions that range between ‘manager’ and ‘user’. This account does not have the ability to manage employee accounts like a manager, but it retains the ability to manage activities of others. It’s also restricted to specific locations unlike the manager. This feature helps customize the program to fit your business structure and processes.
Location Restrictions
We’ve implemented more controls and checks to ensure users can access locations they have permissions for based on role assignments to determine location access levels. User levels like ‘Read only’, ‘users’ and ‘supervisors’ can login to the specific location once they are assigned the appropriate role. This update helps you manage locations on an individual basis, with specific users assigned and responsible for each location to improve the integrity of the roles and users within the program.
Location Selection
Companies with many locations will now see a ‘Select Location’ option that will take you to a location selection page. This fixes an issue with the locations menu becoming unusable when too many locations were added, improving the functionality and usability of the location selection area.
Activity Dashboard
We’ve applied many small improvements to the activities area including formatting that scales to the content better, improving the visual layout.
Change Dashboard
This dashboard is now active and showing more useful information, displaying the number of differences between the current program and the template it’s based on. A user can now click on it for more details and provides a way to restore the information.
