Iron Apple Food Safety Certificate of Compliance

When you receive the Iron Apple Food Safety Certificate of Compliance for Carriers, your company will have access to many benefits.

This compliance certificate is valid for 1 year; to maintain validity, this program will be audited each year by a 3rd party certified auditor (SAI Global) as required by government regulations in Canada and the United States of America.

The content and government reference materials included in our Food Safety Solution for Carriers program is recognized in both Canada and United States as an approved Preventive Controls Plan HACCP based food safety program for transportation and storage (warehouse).

The company will receive a letter certifying that they have met all training requirements for the Sanitary Transportation of Human and Animal Food.

Certification Status:

  • Preventive Controls Plan (PCP) Compliance; valid for 1 year.
  • HACCP Requirements and Compliance; valid for 1 year.
  • FSEP Requirements and Compliance; valid for 1 year.
  • HARPC Compliance; valid for 1 year.
  • Sanitary Transportation of Human and Animal Food Regulation; valid for 1 year.

Commodity specific Preventive Controls Plan Compliance Verification:

Prerequisite Programs:  These are specified requirements by CFIA that must be addressed by all trucking companies that require certification. They include; (1) Program Management, (2) Sanitation and Pest Control, (3) Transportation, (4) Equipment, (5) Recall and Traceability, (6) Personnel and (7) Recordkeeping. The Prerequisites address operational criteria that must be controlled prior to implementing the Preventive Controls.

Refrigerated/Frozen/Mixed Load:  This Module addresses the requirements for transporting loads of refrigerated products, frozen products, and mixed loads of frozen and refrigerated products on the same conveyance (Multi-Temp Loads)

Liquid Bulk (Non-Dairy): This Module addresses the requirements for transporting loads of Liquid Bulk food products that are non-dairy (ex. Water, cooking oils, liquid sugar, etc..)

Liquid Bulk (Dairy):  This Module addresses the requirements for transporting loads of dairy products (ex. Raw Milk, Pasteurized milk, Cream, Whey, etc..)

Dry Bulk:  This Module addresses the requirements for transporting loads of dry products (ex. Flour, Bran, Bulk Grains, Sugar, etc..)

Dry (Non-perishable) Grocery: This Module addresses the requirements for transporting loads of non-perishable foods (ex. Canned products, bottled water, dry mixes, cake mixes, cookies, etc..)

Terminals: This Module addresses the requirements for premises used in “cross-docking” operations and LTL operations

Storage/Warehousing: This Module addresses the requirements for storage of food products, both temperature controlled and ambient. It is a very extensive module and is required if products are shipped out of the province that the warehouse is located in, as “Inter-Provincial Trade”.
